Students:

Kanawha Valley Physical Therapy Center is a facility that offers quality
services both to our patients and to our interns. This facility is a
center of excellence. KVPTC aims to provide multi-disciplinary clinical
exposure to interns to maximize their potential towards patient care. KVPTC accepts interns in the following departments namely: Physical
Therapy (Physical Therapy Students and PTA students), Occupational Therapy
(OT students and OTA students), and Speech Therapy (SLP students). Our
facility is equipped with a library that stores an up-to-date journals,
magazines, and continuing education materials including 24 hr. internet
access.
KVPTC conducts periodic Continuing Education
In-services to full time employees. This includes clinical case studies,
journal reviews and meetings once a week to maintain and uphold the
standard of practice in every department’s profession.
We are proud to showcase
KVPTC of its highly sophisticated, modern technology, and state-of–the art
equipments. In fact, KVPTC uses computerized instructions to patients with
problems in articulation and phonology as well as aphasia. KVPTC also uses
computer based documentation software for daily SOAP notes and monthly
progress notes. Everything in KVPTC is just a click away making it more
organized, efficient and systematic for the convenience of student interns
and staff.
