Marianne Le Donne, M.A., CCC/SLP
Marianne brings 28 years experience as a speech pathologist to Kanawha Valley Physical Therapy Center. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania but has made West Virginia her home for the past 20 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and her Master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Marianne has earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and West Virginia licensure. She is currently a full time employee for the Kanawha County School System. Marianne has worked part-time at KVPTC since January of 2005. She has worked with patients of all ages, preschool to adult, who have a variety of disabilities ranging from delayed language, autism, aphasia, apraxia, feeding problems and articulation/phonological disorders. Marianne incorporates a variety of techniques into her therapy such as the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), augmentative communication systems, to assist her patients in achieving their maximum speech and language abilities.
Area of Interest: feeding/swallowing, language, aphasia and articulation/phonology.
Lisa Hicks, M.A., CCC/SLP
Lisa Hicks has been employed at Kanawha Valley Physical Center since October, 2005. She also works full time for the Preschool Special Needs Program with Kanawha County Schools. Lisa is alifetime resident of Charleston, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology as well as her Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology from West Virginia University. She currently holdsthe Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is licensed in the State of West Virginia.
